How does it work
Important to note

Even though we have extensive experience in leak detection across a variety of sectors, we only provide a screening service. Found fugitive leaks have to be repaired by a licensed gas professional.

Gas leaks in apartments and other properties occur when natural gas or propane escapes from piping, fittings, valves, or appliance connections instead of remaining sealed until it is safely combusted. Common underlying causes include aging infrastructure, corrosion, degraded seals and gaskets, loose joints, damaged flexible connectors, and installation or repair work that was not properly tested.

Some leaks develop slowly and can persist for extended periods, especially when they are small, intermittent, or located in concealed spaces, for example behind appliances. Sudden leaks typically result from a rapid failure of an already weakened component, or from external impact, such as appliance replacement or movement that stresses connectors, internal valve failure, vibration or building settlement that shifts joints, corrosion that finally penetrates the pipe wall, or accidental damage during renovations such as drilling or cutting near gas lines. Leak detection and reporting help locate the suspected source and document findings so that any necessary repairs or compliance actions can be carried out by an authorized gas installer or qualified service company, as required by local regulations.
